Stypendium jest skierowane do osób, które prowadzą za granicą Polski badania naukowe na temat przeszłości i teraźniejszości ziem przyłączonych do Polski w 1945 roku. Rezydencja stypendysty w jednym z miast Sieci Ziem Zachodnich i Północnych ma umożliwić mu wykorzystanie źródeł z archiwów Opola, Olsztyna, Szczecina, Wrocławia i Poznania, a także zapoznanie się z polskim stanem badań w tej tematyce. W ramach stypendium stworzona zostanie możliwość prezentacji własnych badań i poddania ich naukowej dyskusji.

Der Direktor des Ośrodek „Pamięć i Przyszłość“ (das „Erinnerung und Zukunft“ Zentrum) verkündet einen Wettbewerb für das Stipendium des Netzwerkes der West- und Nordgebiete für Forscher außerhalb Polens. Das Stipendium richtet sich an Personen, die wissenschaftliche Forschungen zur Vergangenheit und Gegenwart der Gebiete durchführen, die 1945 an Polen angeschlossen wurden. Der Wohnsitz des Stipendiaten in einem der Städte des Netzwerkes der West- und Nordgebiete soll dem Stipendiaten ermöglichen, Quellen aus den Archiven von Opole, Olsztyn, Szczecin, Wrocław und Poznań zu nutzen, und sich mit dem polnischen Forschungsstand in diesem Bereich vertraut zu machen. Im Rahmen des Stipendiums wird die Möglichkeit geschaffen, seine eigenen Forschungen vorzustellen und zur wissenschaftlichen Diskussion zu stellen.
Contest for the Western and Northern Territories Network Scholarship
The Director of the Ośrodek “Pamięć i Przyszłość” (The “Remembrance and Future” Centre) wishes to announce a contest for a scholarship offered by the Western and Northern Territories Network Consortium for researchers from abroad. The scholarship is aimed at people who are conducting research abroad in a topic related to the past and present of those territories attached to Poland in 1945. Residing in one of the cities of the Western and Northern Territories Network will enable the recipient to access documents from the archives in Opole, Olsztyn, Szczecin, Wrocław, and Poznań and also gain familiarity with the state of Polish research in this area. As part of the scholarship, the successful recipient(s) will be able to present their findings at a scholarly seminar.
